MULTIPLE CITY is a multidisciplinary exhibition immersed in the colourful tangle of the urban environment of Cape Town and Hamburg. It explores the relationship between us as we move through a city environment that is itself in constant motion. Based on personal interests; Edda Sickinger, Chiminae Ball and Mlondi Dubazane connect, and disconnect, with the suggestions of the pulsing city. What are they each drawn towards and what makes them turn away? MULTIPLE CITY is an anthology of films, text, and soundscapes that belong together yet tell their own stories through an immersion in nature, moods, and the flow of the rhythms of people, lights, and sounds. The audience is invited to wander and wade through the experiences of each performer, follow along the paths they have taken and thus take part in a sensory and atmospheric encounter with the dynamic city full of memories.
