Edda Sickinger is a Hamburg-based artist who works across the boundaries of performance, dance and installation. 

As a choreographer and performer, her work often explores social choreography, public space and the everyday and has a documentary approach.

Edda holds an MA in the interdisciplinary dance artistic degree Performance Studies from Hamburg University (DE) and teaches choreography and Performance as Research within various university courses.


Originally from Northern Germany, since 2018 Edda has been producing and presenting her work, both locally and internationally. Guest performances include CUNY Graduate Centre New York City (US), ICA Live Art Festival Cape Town (ZA), Infecting the City Festival 2019 Cape Town (ZA), Wits School of Arts Johannesburg (ZA), Zurich University of the Arts (CHE), Hauptsache Frei Festival Hamburg (DE) and together with the collective Die Neue Kompanie at Performing Arts Festival Berlin 2017 (DE) and Tanztage Berlin 2018 (DE).
